1. The Blue Whale is the largest creature ever to have lived on earth.They can reach 100 feet in length and 150 tons in weight. Their weight equals the weight of 30 adult elephants.

2. Blue whales evolved from hippopotamuses.

3. A baby blue whale is called calf. When the baby is born it is as large as an elephant and grows very quickly. It will gain around 200 pounds a day and be about 50 feet long at the age of 6 months. 

4. The diet of whales depends on their species; it can range from microscopic plankton to large marine mammals.
